Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and sensors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to minimise downtime and prevent failures.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components and wiring as needed.
- Install new electrical systems and components according to wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
Mechanical Maintenance:
- Inspect and maintain mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, belts, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues such as misalignment, excessive vibration, and component wear.
- Perform routine lubrication and alignment of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
Automation and Control Systems:
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMI (Human Machine Interface) panels to control machinery and processes.
- Configure and calibrate instrumentation devices such as temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, and flow meters.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimise automation systems for improved efficiency and productivity.
- Implement changes to control logic and parameters to accommodate process modifications or improvements.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance activities.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential hazards.
- Implement corrective actions to address safety concerns and prevent accidents.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history.
- Generate reports detailing equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding maintenance activities and equipment status.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree or vocational training in electrical/mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems and diagnosing complex issues
