Education  

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification  

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering  

National Trade Certificate NQF Level 3 essential 

Work experience  

2 years working experience on air-conditioning, refrigeration, air compressors, vacuum pumps, autoclaves and 
medical gas systems. 

Knowledge  

Knowledge and experience of a Hospital environment essential  

Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act’s regulations relating to machinery.  

Knowledge of the R158 building regulations, specifically with regards to hospitals, theatres  

Computer literate – MS Office (Word and Excel) advantageous
