Requirements
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
- N3 Qualified Technician (Tractor Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic)
- Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- 3 years’ relevant experience (including training as an Apprentice)
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Ensure that all repairs and maintenance of tractors and equipment are done in accordance with the required standards
- Build and maintain good customer relationships and ensure that all queries and complaints are resolved within the stipulated turnaround time
- Ensure that job cards are updated and that the working areas are clean
- Maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure that protective equipment is used as prescribed
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES
- Good product knowledge in repair and maintenance of tractors and equipment
- Good timekeeping abilities
- Communication skills
