An opportunity has arisen for a Welder: Semi skilled to construct and repair steel and other metal components using a variety of welding techniques. Weld together metal components of products such as pipelines, automobiles, boilers, ships, aircraft and mobile homes with electric arc-welding equipment. Connect cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope and pulse, as specified by Welding Specialist. Minimum Requirements
- Welding or boiler making
- Qualification at a trade institution
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4
- Up to 5 years’ experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivery of customer service
- Repair and manufacture of agricultural equipment, trailers and ancillary workshop equipment
- Efficient administration with regard to the completion of job cards and material use
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work environment
- Maintain the wielding and cutting equipment
