Description
We are looking for a talented ONSITE TECHNICIAN to join our team specializing in SERVICEfor our DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS SEGMENT in NORTHERN CAPE, KATHU, SOUTH AFRICA.
In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:
- Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and conducts maintenance of Cummins engines as well as to troubleshoot and diagnose faults
- Repair engines within Cummins spec and Cummins SRT’s and performs downloads with all interventions in engines
- Perform warranty repair as per the warranty policies and adhere to all safety and health standards of both the mine site, the company, and the country
- Establish/maintain good customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
- Provide service always ensuring quality workmanship as well as completing repairs within Cummins stipulated timings
- Willingness to work overtime and after-hours availability for call outs when necessary
Qualifications
To be successful in this role the candidate will need the following:
- Matric or N3 as well as a valid driver’s license
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic/Millwright with a min of 2-years’ experience
- Field service experience is advantageous with the ability to complete repairs without supervision, good administration skills.
