Job Description
-As a Fitter & Turner , you will perform adhoc mechanical maintenance on equipment and machinery and your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and testing all equipment/machinery to ensure functionality, safety, reliability and availability within the specified timeframe and budgetary limits.
- Ensuring effective maintenance of plant equipment and related machinery to ensure optimal utilisation and availability.
- Identifying and report defects, equipment failures and time required to do repairs to the Supervisor.
This role is in the Engineering department at a J4 level reporting to the Engineering Supervisor.
- Qualifications
-Grade 12/N3 - N2 Certificate
- Qualified as an Artisan (Fitter & Turner)
- Valid South African Drivers Licence
- Relevant OEM Training will be advantageous
- Basic Rigging exposure will be advantageous
Experience
- 2 Years’ experience as an Artisan (including Fitting, Turning and Machining)
- Overhead Crane experience will be advantageous
