Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
· Effective execution of control room operations to ensure daily production targets are met
- Effective monitoring and control of all services and infrastructure during a shift e.g. portable water supply for underground use, pumps, fans, conveyor belts etc.
- Assist with / supervise the daily activities of the Control Room Assistants [site specific]
- Report system malfunctions immediately and lead communications to advise system users of outages and progress as per predetermined notification process
- Accurate recording of standing hours and outage times, escalate anomalies to Supervisor
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12 or equivalent (with Maths & Science)- Trade Certificate
- MS Office Proficient (Word and Excel)
- Good English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly over radio systems
- Ability to supervise a team
- Deciding and initiating action within agreed parameters in a pressurised environment
- Attentive to detail
- Planning and organizing skills
- Systems and process oriented
- Proactive with ability to plan ahead
- Ability to adapt to change technologies
