Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
- At least 5 years’ practical experience in shaft sinking
- Section 26 Recognised / Equivalent Trade Certificate (Mechanical)
- Mine based technical certification (e.g. Electronic and Hydraulic component)
- Engineering Foreman Certificate of Competence or proof of formal Supervisory training in Planning, Leading, Organising and Control
- Onsetter Certificate (Preferred)
- MS Office Proficient [Word, Excel, PowerPoint]
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Good English communication skills [Written and verbal]
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- At least 5 years’ practical experience as an Artisan Fitter in a mining environment, appointed in a legal position
- At least 5 years’ experience as an Engineering Foreman
- At least 5 years’ experience on Winders
- At least 5 years’ practical experience in shaft sinking and in Construction/TMM Environment
- At least 5 years’ experience supervising / leading planned maintenance personnel
- Ability to lead team, plan, organise and control
