Job Description
-As a Draughtsman you will provide the following Responsibilities:
- Creating mechanical/structural/civil design drawings and manufacturing data packs of components and assemblies according to the company development and drawing standards
- Drawing requests prioritised and executed as required
- Identify improvement opportunities, implement these where feasible, and maintain the new standards of performance
- Ensure that all system and administrative requirements are met
- Drawings are developed using the Microstation and Inventor, from there transferred to SAP
- Drawings are updated according to the specifications and requirements
- Ensure updated drawings are populated and loaded on SAP, approved & made available to authorised people
- Drawing titles, descriptions, & numbers are allocated to the specific drawings for identification purposes
- Ensure drawings database is maintained
This is a Fixed Term Contract role in the Engineering department at a band 8/7 level reporting to the Specialist Mechanical Engineer.
- Qualifications
-Grade 12 Certificate - N4 Qualification (Engineering Studies)
- Valid South African Driver’s License
- Computer literacy in (MS Office & CAD/other recognized drawing programmes: preferably Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor)
