Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
- Engineering equipment is maintained according to agreed standards and schedules
- Record Keeping issuing, test and certificates
- System implementing
- Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
- Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies and procedures
- Cost containment
- Competent, motivated and positive team
- Stakeholder engagement
- Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalent
- Section 26 Rigger/Ropes man Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body
- Valid Code EB driver’s license
- Valid 1st aid certificate
- Analytical and attentive to detail
- Team leadership and management skills
- Sound listening and communication skills
- Self-motivated self-starter with high levels of initiative
- Able to make decisions within agreed parameters
- Sound learning agility and able to adapt to new technologies
- Job planning skills
- Construction experience (box fronts, Bulk heads, Tips and Belts
