Responsibilties & Duties:
- Servicing trucks, vans and tractors
- Ensure services are planned and carried out timeously
- Ensuring that there are the correct spares available for servicing
- Coordinate the servicing of all vehicles and check that they are available for loading every afternoon or when needed
- Be available to change plans to ensure that vehicles are kept on the road
- Draw up lists for maintenance and schedules
- Checking that work carried out is of an acceptable standard
- Assisting with problems and breakdowns where necessary
Qualifications & Skills:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic
- 3-5 years working experience in truck, van and tractor repairs
- Experience in welding and working with vehicle electronics
- Ability to speak English and Zulu (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license
- Willing to travel
- Willing to perform weekend duty and work public holidays where necessary
- Recording and admin experience
- Strong leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure
