Position Outputs
- Do cutting and profile cutting with oxy-acetylene cutting process
- Remove portions of components (i.e. remove adaptor from cutting edge) with air-arc gouging process
- Provide sound welds in gas-metal arc (CO2) and shield metal arc (stick) welding in the 6G positions
- Assemble components such as buckets, bowls and blades dimensionally correct as per OEM drawings
- Use correct tooling to repair broken and bent components
- Effective self-management and performance ownership
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Qualified in relevant trade (Welder / Boilermaker)
- Matric (Grade12)
- Minimum 2 years work experience after qualification (Post apprenticeship)
- Medically fit for the position
- Drivers license – Code B
