Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as per agreed standard
- Maintain equipment and inspect its integrity
- Ensure engineering standards are maintained
- Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements
- Set up and adjust machines and equipment
- Fit and assemble parts, or sub-assemblies
- Cut, thread, bend and install pipes and lines
- Dismantle, assemble and repair or replace faulty machines and equipment
- Check accuracy and quality of finished assemblies
- Ensure customer needs are met in full and on time
- Ensure SHE standards are active and live and maintain minimal incidents
- Cost savings by using up redundant Equipment and other initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric
- Trade tested as Mechanical Fitter
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in chemical plant
- DMS or SAP experience will be advantageous
