Sappi Ngodwana Mill requires a Maintenance Support Mechanical (Foreman) to supervise assigned skilled tradespeople and coordinate the safe performance of maintenance tasks and related activities contributing to the overall equipment effectiveness.
This role reports to the Maintenance Engineer.
The main responsibilities of this job are:
Assess equipment, materials and labour needed to complete large and/or complex maintenance tasks for the purpose of ensuring that maintenance activities meet district standards and resolve the defined issue(s) while reducing wasted resources.
Collaborate with others (e.g., contractors, vendors, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs
The ideal candidate should have:
Post Matric Certificate / Diploma / NQF level 5 – 6
Recognised Trade Certificate (Manpower/Seta accredited)
3 – 5 years’ plant operations experience
Computer Literate (MS Office Package)
Valid driving license
Pulp and Paper industry experience advantageous
SAP knowledge advantageous
