Full Job Description
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for electrical maintenance, diagnosis and fault repairs on production equiptment as well as to perform authorised modifications.
JOB SUMMARY
- Attend to and maintain plant production equipment
- Proactively ensure that preventative planned maintenance is performed in a cost-effective way to ensure minimum downtime and product losses
- Maintenance of electrical equipment on production lines and high-speed packaging lines
- Maintenance of electrical systems and components
- Fault finding and repair of electrical equipment
- Handle breakdowns effectively and timeously
- Execute breakdown elimination using the SHOPWARE system as a tool
- Do daily inspection schedules on equipment
- Come up with Kaizens for to improve the equipment reliability
- Support the PM team to reduce the MTTR and increase the MTBF
- Active involvement on Machine Safety program
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- N6 Certification in Electrical Engineering
- Completed Electrical Trade Test with 3 years post qualified experience
- Understanding of Tia portal
- Siemens PLC S300, S400 and S1500
- Allen Bradley PLC understanding
- PLC and relay control circuit faultfinding
- Electrical faultfinding on e.g. motors, conveyors, DBs etc
- Proper interpretation of electrical schematic diagrams and their altering when necessary
- Working knowledge of photo electric and proximity switches is essential
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of the profinet
- Variable Speed Drives
