What you will enjoy doing
- You will take full responsibility for safety, inventory and housekeeping of the Application Technology Center
- Preparing for and conducting welding application, process and product trials and demonstrations will be your role
- You will be responsible for preparing weld specimens, test plates and lab tests for the application development team
- Practical welding training of customers as well as Afrox sales and support staff is expected of you
- You will be required to assist the marketing team rolling out of new applications and products
- Furthermore, you are responsible for coordinating road shows and open days
What makes you great
- As the successful incumbent, you will be a Qualified Welder with three years welding experience on gases (industrial and/or special gases), welding hardgoods, the ability to understand the South African welding industry and experience in welding applications
- You possess knowledge on Afrox systems and the use of SAP
- You will be customer focused and have the ability to interface with customers and be able to apply welding solutions
- You have the ability to interface with peers, a team player with sound interpersonal skills, attention to detail, communication skills and integrity
