Job Description
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Carry out installations of new power supplies and AC 3-phase motors.
- On occasion required to carry out miscellaneous legal ad hoc tasks for which the incumbent is competent as instructed by the Electrician or Maintenance Team Leader.
- To report faulty appliances or damaged equipment. Carrying out work as per the required job cards.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, rules and regulations.
- Issue of Certificates of Compliance (COC’s) for electrical installations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum educational requirement Grade 12 with post matric qualification of a NQF Level 3
- Must have a valid unrestricted wireman’s license (Electrical COC).
- Must have a valid Electrical Trade Test in possession
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in production, workshop, plant, maintenance.
- Previous experience in mentoring and leading apprentice.
- Must have good electrical engineering skills.
- Must possess skill in the use of the tools associated with trade area, i.e. hand and power tools, measuring equipment, etc., as well as arrange of testing devices.
- Must be computer literate MS Office (Word/Excel and Outlook.
