Job Description
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Assist with compiling maintenance budget for approval.
- Monitor and control maintenance spending against budget.
- Raise PO requisition and place orders for maintenance spares.
- Check invoices for submission and ensure that suppliers for maintenance are paid on time monthly.
- Ensure cost effective maintenance. Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Identify critical spares and tools, and ensure upkeep.
- Participate in plant risk assessment and SHEQ initiatives.
- Issuing of maintenance clearance certificates and ensure that work is carried out to AECI standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum educational requirement Grade 12
- Post matric qualification of a NQF Level 6 – National Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the production, workshop, plant maintenance and mechanical/electrical industry.
- Experience working in a planning capacity will be advantageous.
- Must be computer literate MS Office (Word/Excel and Outlook).
- Good technical acumen and be able to solve problems systematically.
- Possess basic knowledge of the OHS ACT.
