Description
This position is responsible for taking measurements using Condition Monitoring (CM) tools, testers and techniques, and analysing and reporting on the condition of machinery and assets at the Plant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to Client engineering, technical and SHEQ standards
- Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of the job
- Identify hazards and risk while performing daily tasks
- Comply with statutory legislation and operational requirements
- Ensure a reduced likelihood or frequency of failures
- Ensure that backup systems are in place to allow for an alternate success path if one part of the system fails
- Correct identification of causes of failures
- Ensure that Condition Monitoring Systems remain fully optimized
- Assist the Workshop manager in gathering information for reports
- Conduct audits of plant equipment
Qualification Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Level 1 & 2 Certification in Condition Monitoring / Vibration Analysis Level I/II will be an advantage
