The main responsibilities of this job are:
T akes and hands over the shift.
Assists Process Operator: Refibre with preparing the Refibre Plant for start-up (i.e. opening of hand valves, visual checks on repulper levels).
Assists the Process Operator: Refibre with start-up and shut down of Refibre Plant.
Assists Process Operator: Refibre with monitoring and controlling the waste plant process parameters
Determine if there are problems with the repulpers which may cause downtime and report any defects to the Process Operator: Refibre.
Clean thickener to prevent blockages.
Clean sump baskets to prevent waste plant rejects from causing effluent problems
Conduct Routine Plant Checks and report defects to the Process Operator: Refibre.
Understand the SHEQ requirements of the job.
Identify and take corrective action in terms of SHEQ conditions and hazards.
Comply with all relevant SHEQ requirements.
Maintains a high level of good housekeeping in the workplace at all times.
Conducts regular BBS Observations.
Issuing of Plant Clearance and Isolation Permits as and when required.
The ideal candidate should have:
Matric and/or N3 Pulp and Paper Certificate (4 subjects) and/or NQF Level 4 Qualification.
Computer literate.
1 year plant experience .
