Job Purpose
To carry out planned preventative and breakdown maintenance daily of all factory equipment in accordance with the OHS Act and Mars Preventative Maintenance Standards and Procedures ensuring maximum availability and reliability of all assets.
Context and Scope
- To foster an environment of continuous improvement & innovation.
- To maintain production facilities within the operating parameters laid down i.e. Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Efficiencies and tactical targets.
- To foster an environment of continuous improvement & innovation.
- Improve & maintain plant reliability and availability of > 90%.
- Attention to details in procedures, equipment, building & operations to Engineering Standards.
What are we looking for?
- Matriculation, N3 Technical Qualification, Trade Certificate (Fitter and turner)
- 5+ years in a FMCG Maintenance Role
- Strong experience on Boilers, Compressors, Chilling plants, Cold Rooms & Air handling units
- Experience on High Speed Packing lines
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Execute all maintenance activities according to maintenance strategy ensuring that assets perform within set quality, safety, housekeeping, technical, cost and operational standards.
- Ensure that associates and non-associates, who support your areas of responsibility are trained and competent, with good adherence to best operating practice
- Ensure integrity of safety equipment and compliance with safety procedures at all times.
