Purpose of the Job
Assemble stainless steel components, sub-assemblies and major assemblies as per specified work procedure, work instruction and Engineering drawings to meet the defined production schedules and quality levels. Reports to the relevant Team leader.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- To conduct quality self-inspection of own work before shipping to next station.
- Support the team leader.
- Maintain 5S condition of the working zone.
- Maintain safety standards in the department.
- Drive cost improvement initiatives through continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Matric or Minimum N3 technical certification
- Red Seal or Trade tested in Boilermaking
- ARPL Boilermaking would be an added advantage
- Minimum of 2 years experience in boilermaking or welding environments
- Have excellent attention to detail
