ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To maintain vehicles and handling of breakdowns at all sites locally and in neighbouring countries. Do monthly site inspections and maintenance on pumps, valves and silos. Duties include; but are not limited to:
- Fault-finding on electrical and Hydraulic systems.
- Handle mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Hydraulic fault-finding and maintenance
- Preventative maintenance
- Daily liaison with maintenance personnel regarding equipment & spares at mines.
- Assist in technical investigations
- Identification of defects and reporting to supervisor
- Manage of safety issues
- Order spares required from the stores and for maintenance
- All safety aspects at workplace
- Maintains of explosive plants and trucks in SA and aboard
- Good Housekeeping
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
- Grade 12 with Math’s and Science(Must)
- Qualified red seal Millwright / Electro-mechanic (Must)
- Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license (Min code 10), wish code 11 or code EB
- Red Ticket (Must)
- Minimum of five years’ experience as an electro mechanic (Millwright)
