Overview
A Diesel Mechanic position is available in Kolomela. Only registered Mechanics will be considered for this role. Their responsibility is to ensure timeous, safe, available and functional pumps and equipment as per service requirements and also responsible for all mechanical maintenance activities conducted with underground equipment and vehicles in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment. Suitable candidates must have Grade 12, Trade test (red seal) & valid driver’s license with relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Maths)
- Trade Test (Red Seal Certificate)
- Valid Drivers License
Experience
- 5 years’ experience in a (mining) maintenance environment, preferably plant and machinery
- Understanding of and practical experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and pumps
- PLC controls and basic instrumentation – advantageous
