The purpose of the job
Occupant will act as maintenance assistant for the Langlaagte campus and do all maintenance duties linked to this position.
This position will report to the Assistant manager Support Services.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all building related maintenance issues:
- Do standby duties.
- Do driving duties.
- Electricity- Repairs or replacement of wall plugs, switches, light fittings, bulbs, small electrical appliances.
- Plumbing- Repairs or replacement of leaking taps, piping, toilets, geyser valves.
- Carpeting-Repairs or replacement of broken doors, locks, cupboards and other general carpeting work.
- Welding-Do general welding work.
- Painting- General paint work.
- Tiling- Do small tiling work.
- Swimming pool-Do swimming pool maintenance.
- Perform at an acceptable level of skill
- Organize tasks
- Respond and react appropriately to the unexpected
- Perform a range of activities to fulfill a role in a specific occupational area.
Minimum requirements
- EC code driver’s license.
- Valid PDP (GP)
- Clear record with no traffic offences.
- No criminal records.
