A premium motor vehicle brand based in Umhlanga is on the hunt for a dynamic young Qualified Mechanic with excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills to join their team of Technicians in their service department.
Role Responsibilities:
* Properly document the intake of vehicles
* Diagnose all incoming vehicle problems
* Record all service notes for service manager
* Coordinate with the parts department to order repair parts
* Perform maintenance and repairs when dispatched by service manager
* Record all parts, fluids and time associated with each vehicle
* Observe all OSHA and safety protocols
Minimum Requirements:
* Trade Test qualification
* 2-4 years’ experience
* Must have a good understanding of diagnostics (preferably working for a premium vehicle dealership)
* Must have own transport and must be diligent on time keeping
* Automotive Certification (ideal)
* Must be able to work as team member and be able to deal with customers.
* Familiarity with diagnostic equipment
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to follow directions precisely
