Job Advert Summary
Rainbow Chicken seeks a reliable and enthusiastic Millwright with an analytical mind and a passion for problem-solving to join the Engineering Team in our Chicken Processing plant. The role is based in Rustenburg and will report to the Engineering Foreman. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that plant maintenance is done effectively and accurately in such a way as to ensure minimum downtime.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum N4 Qualification + recognized Electrical trade test.
- Code 08 driver’s license.
- Electrical & Mechanical Orientated.
- 5 years relevant experience (post qualification).
- Experience in poultry industry and knowledge of poultry processing equipment would be an advantage.
- PLC and HT experience would be an advantage.
- Installation Rule (wireman’s licence) would be advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Service and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Preventative maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct projects.
- Conduct safety inspection.
- Research and development – upgrade equipment for improved performance at reduction of maintenance cost.
