Full Job Description
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience in the Diesel mechanical repair industry.
- Marine experience advantageous
- Must be fluent (Including writing for reports) in Both English and Afrikaans.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
- Any auto electrical experience will be beneficial but mechanical repair must be priority.
- Must be prepared to work overtime.
- Police clearance will be needed for certain areas.
- In depth understanding of diesel engines, as well as mechanics and engineering in general.
Job responsibilities:
- Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines.
- Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes.
- Interprets diagnostic test results accurately.
- Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans.
- Hires, trains, and manages a team of trainees.
- Collaborates with other diesel mechanics.
