REQUIREMENTS:
- Serious contenders will have a N2 Technical Certificate (Internal Candidates) / N3 Technical Certificate (External Candidates) with a recognized Fitter trade test and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified Fitter on plant equipment.
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining plant equipment such as conveyors, screens, jaw crushers and pumps is essential;
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and ability to read and interpret diagrams is advantageous;
- Previous experience on Man Winders are advantageous;
- Valid Code 08 Driver’s license is essential;
- Working experience on SAP/1SAP is advantageous.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Maintenance and repairs of plant equipment in the production sections;
- Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, interpretation of hydraulic diagrams, planned and predictive maintenance;
- Accesses any area safely to perform necessary maintenance on plants or equipment;
- Performs safety inspections of equipment and assesses risks on equipment;
- Maintains a clean and safe worksite;
- Ensures the upkeep of maintenance tools and equipment;
- Coordinates activities associated with trouble-shooting and repairing maintenance equipment.
