Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using template or reading measurements and installation/assembly instructions
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verifies specifications by measuring complete component
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification- Be fully conversant in English
- N2, with Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science and Trade Theory (Advantageous)
- Must be able to do repetitive work quickly and methodically
- Must be able to read and complete basic QCP’s (Quality Control Plans)
