Key Output
- Assistant the Drill Mechanic(s)in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and/or components.
- Know which tools are used for which jobs and ensure the Mechanic/ Technician has them within reach
- Assist artisan to obtain and check parts for jobs.
- Clean and maintain facilities and equipment. Housekeeping
- Maintain a safe and orderly workplace
- Physically lift, keep in place and/or move up to twenty kilograms (20Kgs) or use appropriate lifting and slinging equipment for objects larger in size.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Grade 12
- Understanding of tools will be advantage
- Ability to obtain certificate as forklift operator within ninety (90) days of appointment.
- Ability to obtain certification as overhead/ jib crane operator within ninety (90) days of appointment.
- Ability to follow instructions under supervision
- Drivers’ licence- Code B will be an added advantage.
