Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar industry.
- Must be able to work on both elevators and escalators.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have the ability to train new and qualified apprentices
- Must be in possession of an N3 or equivalent qualification
- Electrical Diploma and SABS 1545 Accreditation would be an advantage
- Minimum of five years post apprenticeship experience
- Must have completed their trade test and be in possession of their trade test certificate
Personal Attributes:
- Sound technical background, with expertise in both Otis and non-Otis units
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Must be prepared to work overtime and on weekends
- Ability to work on lifts and escalators

Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers
- Maintaining units (elevators and escalators) as per planned maintenance schedule.
- Carrying out timeous repairs to prevent breakdowns
- Attending to call-backs, perform standby 24 hours and 7 days a week
- Actively promote “S” and “T” sales in the area, execute “T” service work
- Complete reports / timesheets as per requirements
- Ensure safe keeping of company tools and equipment
