Komatsu is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Artisan to join their dynamic team in Germiston. The preferred candidate should have at least 3 years of post-trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment within the mining industry and a Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate
- Grade 12/N3 Technical Certificate/equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 Years’ experience on related earth-moving equipment.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Exposure to earth-moving machinery
- Have good troubleshooting knowledge of machines & familiar with standard tool requirements
- Computer literate
- Good understanding of maintenance philosophy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license.
Job Specification:
- Remains up to date with health and safety procedures.
- Participates in planning health and safety events and campaigns, taking SHE into account in the planning of work output. Conducts hazard identification and risk assessment.
