purpose
Mr Price Logistics is looking for a qualified and experienced Instrument and Control Technician, the role will be based at the Mr Price Group DC in Hammersdale. The successful individual will actively maintain operational equipment through planned preventative maintenance, thereby eliminating unplanned production lost time and extending the life span of equipment through equipment efficiency and eliminating downtime while maintaining a high-level health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- To carries out routine preventative maintenance of equipment according to schedules, check list and specific equipment requirements, this includes cleaning of electronics systems and overhauled equipment.
- Repair and or replaces defective parts, reassembles overhauled equipment and carries out necessary tests and performance monitoring upon start -up.
- Reassembles and test equipment in accordance with requirements or tests schedules.
- To attend to electrical & control breakdowns and repairs within the Distribution Centre to ensure the efficient running of operations and improving production uptime.

- National Diploma in Electronic Engineering + Electrical or instrument trade test
- 5 years minimum experience in a production environment
- knowledge of PLC, UPS, AC variables speed drive & control systems experience
- Understanding of third generation process control environment
