Field Service Technicianis responsible for execution and/or providing technical assistance to clientsduring the maintenance, repairs or installation and commissioning of highvoltage substations equipment – mainly switchgear and transformers. Theresponsibilities also include troubleshooting.
This positionrequires strong communication and client-facing skills and requires 90% travelto domestic and /or international job sites.
HowYou’ll Make an Impact
- Servicing, maintenance, and repairs of high-voltageswitchgear – GIS and/ or AIS
- Servicing, maintenance, and repairs of powertransformers
- Supervisionof contractors executing the installation and commissioning of high voltageequipment.
- Sitemanagement during service activities.
- Attendingto brake-downs and emergencies at customer sites, including after hours andweekends.
- Preparecomprehensive reports after any activity.
- SupportSales with technical advice for Tenders and Quotations
What YouBring
- 10years’ experience with service of high voltage substation equipment.
- Trainingwith handling of SF6
- Safetytraining at supervisory level
- ORHVStraining
- Englishreading/writing/speaking
- Goodreporting skills
- Capabilityto plan work.
- Focuson Health and Safety, Environment and Quality.
- Ability towork in Team and Individual Environment. Must have ability to develop clientrelationships, display excellent listening skills, and maintain a positiveattitude.
- Degree inElectrical or Mechanical engineering is advantageous.
- Validdriver licence and valid passport
