Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):
• Grade 12 plus a National N Diploma/National Diploma (Electrical)
Experience:
• 2 years post qualification plant related experience (P1 & P2 experiential training)
Skills and Competencies
• Maintenance Power Plant policy, process and standards knowledge and skills
• Knowledge of maintenance systems and HV/LV regulations; plant and employee safety and health and quality management
• Extensive knowledge of National and International Engineering Codes and Standards
• Planning and technical solutions to problem-solving
• Computer literacy, communication, negotiation and report writing
Key Responsibilities
• Planning and technical solutions to problem-solving
• Maintaining optimisation of allocated systems
• Verify that correct components/spares/services are procured
• Apply quality control and assurance within legislative requirements
• Assist with modifications to improve reliability of plant and commissioning of plant
• Perform projects/contract supervision activities and tests/inspections
• Comply with permit-to-work system
• Mentoring and coaching to improve staff development and exposure
