Job Description:
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Attending to breakdowns and emergencies as required
- Performing scheduled inspections on equipment
- Executing planned maintenance on equipment
- Conduct participate in risk assessments
- Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required
- Allocate tasks to subordinates
- Attend and conduct safety meeting
- Interpret engineering drawings and do fault findings
- Report possible defects and plan the action needed to rectify the risk or defect
This role is in the Engineering department at a C2 level reporting to the Senior Engineering Foreman.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science or Technical Trade Specific N2
- Recognised Diesel Mechanic or Earthmoving Machinery Trade Test Certificate
