Reporting to the Controller: Maintenance, you will:
- Fault finding and/or repairs of power supply units
- Isolation and de-isolation of the Furnace 33kV Switchgear
- Earthing of 33kV Busbars associated with power transformers
- Isolation and de-isolation of 33kV capacitor banks
- Earthing of Capacitor Banks and Associated Busbars and Switches
- Uninterrupted Power Supply Units Maintenance
- Topping or filling Up Transformers and tap changers with transformer Oil
- Routine test run of emergency power system
- Re-closing of 275 kV breaker after a trip
- Re-closing of Furnace Supply Breakers after a trips
- Re-closing of 33 kV breakers after trips
- Earthing of 275 kV Transformers
- Isolation for furnace transformer 33 kV cubicle inspection
- Isolation at Eskom’s request
What you’ll bring
- N3 with Trade Test: Electrical
- N4 will be advantageous
- Completed medium and high voltage switching training
- 3 years’ experience as a qualified electrician, where at least 1 years is specific to working on HT Electrical Machines
