An opportunity has become available for a Mechanic: Semi Skilled to attend to breakdowns and conduct services on yellow equipment and trucks/Trailers . Trade Certificate Diesel Mechanic will be advantageous. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further details.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate • Code 08 Drivers License • Self-motivated and assertive • Minimum 2 years relevant experience • Willing to work 12 hr shifts, nightshifts, weekends and public holidays • Successfully complete medical evaluation • Sound knowledge and experience of technical aspects of heavy commercial vehicles, including Trucks /trailers and yellow equipment• Maintain good relationships with customers • Valid driver’s license and own transport
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct services on yellow equipment and Trucks/Trailers • Conduct fault finding on Trucks/Trailers and Yellow Equipment • Daily routine checks on yellow equipment and trucks • Attend to breakdowns • Ensure the completion of work as to minimize disruption in operations • Able to work independently without supervision
