Komatsu South Africa has an exciting opportunity for Assistant Artisans with at least 2 – 3 years of experience in Earthmoving Equipment to join our team at Witbank. Applicants from the immediate area will get first preference.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric/N3 Certificate.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 – 3 years of work experience working on earthing moving machines.
- 6 months of general workshop/technical environment experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remains up-to-date with SHE procedures.
- Required to work overtime and standby from time to time, and must be prepared to travel when needed.
- Assist the artisan in all aspects.
- Disassembles machine/components.
- Checks that equipment/tools are operational and safe.
- Reports defective equipment to the artisan.
- Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present.
- Must have some knowledge of basic tools and the purpose of the tools used.
- Must be presentable and tidy.
- Ability to work under pressure.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Some knowledge of tools and machine repairs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Have a passion for Heavy Earthmoving Machinery
