Key Outputs
- Assist a mechanic/technician when servicing and repairing machines and/or components to OEM standards and customer requirements while maintaining an orderly and safe workspace
- Assist the mechanic (s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and/or components
- Have knowledge about the tools and which ones are used which jobs to ensure the mechanic /technicians has them within reach
- Ensure and maintain good housekeeping
- Assist mechanics to obtain and check parts for jobs planned
- Maintain a safe and orderly workplace
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Grade 12/ Matric
- Technical background an advantage
- Ability to obtain a forklift and overheard certification within 90 days after being appointed
- Ability to follow instructions under supervision
- Drivers Licence –Code B an advantage
- Good verbal comprehension and physical resilience
- Good communication skills and customer relations.
- Must be a team player and be willing to work overtime
