INTRODUCTION:
Komatsu is seeking an experienced Millwright Artisan to join their dynamic team in Polokwane. The preferred candidate should have at least 3 years of post-trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment within the mining industry and a relevant Millwright Trade certificate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12/N3 Technical Certificate/equivalent of other country qualifications
- Millwright Trade Certificate.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 Years’ experience on related earth-moving equipment.
- Must have experience working in mining envirenvironment
- Experience in operating 860 and 960 dump trucks.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Exposure to earth earth-movinginery
- Have good troubleshooting on machines & familiar with standard tool requirements
- Computer literate
- Good understanding of maintenance philosophy
- Good communication and interinterpersonalls
- Valid driver’s license.
Job Specification Summary:
- Remains up to date with health and safety procedures.
- Participates in planning of heh and safety events and campaigns, taking into account the planning of work output. Conducts hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Implement the Komatsu Way 5S sorting, organorganizinganing, ordering, and training.
- Adheres to SHE policies and procedures.
- Complies with and instructs colleagues in the wearing of protective gear and clothing.
- Participates in workplace safety events.
- Stay informed about emergency first aid kits/fire extinguishers.
- Operates any vehicles (trucks, cars) within safety standards and procedures, even when not supervised.
- Checks that the safety signs and signals are in place.
- Implements safety awareness in all activities.
