The Role
To assist Artisans in effective maintenance and breakdowns. This service is rendered to Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist artisans with any service/breakdown-related activity and rebuild of machines.
- Clean workshop machines, tools, equipment, and wash bay
- Provide feedback to the artisan on machine’s condition
- Comply with the SMRT SHEQ management system and the Objectives and Targets set
- Utilise the correct tools
- Report Hazardous conditions and acts
- Work on scheduled and unplanned maintenance and breakdowns
Profile Required
- Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification/ Equivalent Qualification
- English proficiency
- First Aid Level 1
- Relevant mechanized mining equipment experience (Advantage)
- Physical & Medical ability to function in the workshop environment.
- Understanding of the necessity and value of teamwork; ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Spray-painting experience (Advantage)
