Description
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Plan and complete a project independently, issued by line manager
- Must have knowledge and ability to perform Tigg/Argon welding on Stainless steel and mild steel.
- Must have knowledge on Stainless steel plate work.
- Must be able to interpret technical drawings and practice accordingly.
- Must be able to do fabrication work.
- Preventative maintenance
- Daily liaison with maintenance personnel regarding equipment & spares at mines.
- Assist in technical investigations
- Work independently
- Delivers quality history keeping on Job cards from tasks completed. (Verification of job cards)
- Identification of defects and reporting to supervisor
- Manage of safety issues
- Order spares required from the stores and for maintenance
- All safety aspects at workplace
- Maintains of explosive plants and trucks in SA and aboard
Requirements
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
- Grade 12 with Math’s and Science
- Trade Test certificate – Welder – Red ticket
- Three to five years’ experience as a Welder
- Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license (Min code 10), wish code 11 or code EB.
