POSITION SYNOPSIS:
The purpose of this role is to attend to breakdowns and to conduct inspections and execute maintenance tasks on Processing plant, Heavy Mobile Machinery and Loadout station equipment. Will be required to work shifts.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Serious contenders will have a N2 Technical Certificate (Internal Candidates) / N3 Technical Certificate (External Candidates) with a recognized Millwright trade test and minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Millwright in a processing plant or TMM environment;
- Valid Code B (08) Driver’s license is essential;
- In depth mechanical and electrical knowledge of conveyors, screens, crushers and pumps or percussion machines is essential;
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems is essential;
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings is essential;
- Knowledge of Soft starters, Control and Instrumentation and SAP is advantageous;
- Experience as a Proto team member is advantageous.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, planned and predictive maintenance;
- Execute all maintenance work in a safe manner;
- Perform lockouts and make the work area safe;
- Test and commission equipment prior to handover;
