Job Description:

The responsibilities of the Electrician will include:

• Maintenance of electrical components of machinery and equipment
• Conducting safety meetings and participating in risk assessments
• Attending to breakdowns and emergencies
• Escalating defects and abnormalities to management
• Ensuring adequate training and coaching is provided to subordinates.
• Oversee Engineering Learners and Artisans Assistants and ensuring effective teamwork.

This role is in the Engineering Department and is at a C2 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science or N2 Technical trade Specific
• Section 13 or 26D Electrician Trade Certificate
• High or Medium Voltage Certificate requirement / advantageous

 Knowledge and Skills

• Must be able to do standby and overtime.
• Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures.
• Valid driving license
• English literate (speak, read and write)
• Basic Computer Skills
