PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Artisan: Electrical is responsible for repairs and maintenance of all electrical installations within the Smelter Business Unit.
The role holder will form an integral part in the execution of day-to-day electrical work and the execution of electrical planned maintenance.
The incumbent will account to the Foreman: Electrical & Instrumentation and will be required to work rotational stand-by with another Artisan to cover the Smelter business unit.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Minimum qualification of N3 is required or equivalent with a recognised Trade Test certificate as an Electrician.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Computer knowledge (MS office –Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Understanding of SAP maintenance system will be advantage.
- Communication skills -Able to communicate technical information to teams, peers & management. Interact effectively through communication at all levels, building relationships, negotiation and gaining commitment.
- Risk Management skills- Able to identify and eradicate risk.
- Administrative skills- Able to effectively manage the administrative paperwork required.
