Job Description:
To perform maintenance effectively to maximize the availability of equipment to sections at the lowest cost by:
- Maintain and test all equipment / machinery to ensure functionality, safety, reliability, and availability to complete jobs within the specified timeframe and budgetary limits.
- Conduct inspections to identity possible failures and repair or raise notifications for repairs.
- Ensure that the work environment is equipped with the necessary spare parts and defective components are identified in order to find and implement permanent solutions.
- Ensure work is executed as per Operating Model standards and procedures.
- Ensure job cards are completed in full and returned on time.
- Ensure all toolboxes and tools are kept in good condition
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical.
- N2.
- Qualified/Trade Certificate as an Artisan (Diesel Mechanic)
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Experience with Pit Viper Drills is advantageous.
