Media 24: Marketing Assistant

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the marketing team.
  • Write, edit, update, and publish content on the company’s corporate website and associated website(s).
  • Participate in the ideation and creation of social media content.
  • Assist with designing retailer website banners.
  • Assist with the planning and coordinating of marketing events (festivals, exhibitions, workshops).
  • Collect and collate data required by the Marketing Manager to prepare monthly departmental management
  • Perform all marketing administration functions accurately and within the required deadlines.
  • Support the marketing team’s archive function by efficiently filing and storing relevant marketing material.

Minimum requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing or similar.
  • At least 1 -2 years’ experience in marketing in a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in relevant software packages and applications.
  • Sound digital background, with a passion for books.
  • An Interest in pursuing new marketing opportunities and new ways of reaching readers, whilst staying abreast of wider book trends.

Skills and competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well as a team player.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and excellent organization ability.
  • Time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Experience in Canva, In Design and Photoshop.
