The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
- Provide administrative support to the National Sales Manager and Trade Sales Team in order to achieve budgeted turnover
- Assist in performing data processing and generating reports, including stock and sales reports, daily turnover reports and weekly and monthly reports for management
- Provide administrative support to the sales team by compiling sales kits, updating stock reports and creating visual presentations
- Assist in performing analysis of sales, reporting on growth/decline in the book trade over a particular reporting period, identifying sales trends, etc, to assist management and the sales team in effective planning and clear communication to customers
- Compile sales documentation for presentations in an attractive and visual presentation style
- Liaise telephonically with booksellers and relevant institutions regarding stock availability and recommended retail prices, urgent orders and/or queries
- Assist in updating Trade pricelists
- Manage remainder sales to customers
- Assist with stock reduction process
The successful candidate:
- has excellent organisational and administrative skills
- is accurate and meticulous
- is fluent in both written and verbal Afrikaans and English
- has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- is computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- is punctual by nature and able to function under pressure
- can work both in a team and with minimum supervision
